As one of the earliest podcasts I followed, Gcores has been a significant part of my life for years. Their discussions about games are characterized by passion and expertise that I deeply admire. Gcores is possibly my favorite company, representing the group dynamic I aspire to. If I ever lead or join a team, I hope to foster a similar atmosphere - one filled with genuine love for our work and collaborative expertise.

Chen Danqing's lecture on the origins of "Literary Memoirs" sparked my interest in that era's cultural atmosphere and how intellectuals lived together. However, I believe the literature of our time will take a different form. Traditional literature may not capture today's zeitgeist. Instead, Video games will become the literature of our era, best reflecting and influencing contemporary culture and ideas.

The documentary "Inside the Wandering Earth II" showcases the collaborative effort behind creating a sci-fi film. It reveals the immense power of modern film industry and highlights the impressive development of China's cinematic capabilities. I found myself envying both the team working on the film and those behind the scenes creating this documentary. Their involvement in such a significant project is truly admirable. Despite the documentary's high quality, its production company struggled w...

"The Game Empire" podcast series narrates the stories of various game companies. An episode about ID Software was incredibly inspiring. It told the story of like-minded individuals who deeply appreciated each other's talents, collaborating to create groundbreaking games. My favorite episode, however, was about Valve. Their business methodology resonates with me the most. Valve's emphasis on data-driven decision-making and their philosophy of prioritizing system design over content design part...

Anthony Fu is a fanatical open sourceror. His lifestyle as a prolific contributor to the open-source community is something I deeply admire but haven't yet experienced. Once I achieve financial freedom in the coming years, I plan to follow Fu's path and immerse myself in open-source development.

""Buzaichang" is a music podcast the host describes as an "obsession with useless things." My favorite episode, "S2E4 The Mysterious Song," showcases this approach perfectly. The host's storytelling ability and their intense obsession with niche subjects are qualities I deeply admire and aspire to emulate.

"尚在天国EX" is, in my view, China's best game content creator for narrating game-related stories. His understanding of game design and mechanics is impressive. Most importantly, he's unafraid to express his opinions, even controversial ones. This boldness is rare in today's cautious internet environment. Inspired by his approach, I created videos about game mechanics in 2022. Although I've since shifted to making programming-related content, I still strive to emulate his storytelling style. My go...

Xpaidia is a game media lab that approaches video games academically, interviewing artists and researching the medium. The founder often shares insights on game art and experimental games at art academies. I deeply admire their work. Their ability to engage in meaningful dialogues with diverse individuals in the field is inspiring. I aspire to achieve such depth in a specific domain myself. Their dedication to pursuing "useless" endeavors with seriousness resonates with me.

Teahour.fm, a podcast focusing on programming, has significantly shaped my views on technology and the developer lifestyle. It instilled in me a deep appreciation for open-source and remote work. The seed planted by Teahour in 2021 influenced my career path: in 2022, I joined the Microsoft Edge and WebView2 team, drawn by Chromium's open-source nature. This journey culminated in 2023 when I finally transitioned to remote work, fulfilling an aspiration nurtured by the podcast's insights.

This podcast has been instrumental in shaping my worldview. Covering topics from content creation, consumerism, capitalism, business, wealth, psychology, Bitcoin, and finance. Though not delving deeply into any single subject, this podcast has become the cornerstone of my basic philosophy and values. As a result, I began my journey in content creation in 2022. On 2017.12.31, I listened to this podcast episode. At the time, I was working on deep learning AI projects in a lab. The podcast profoundly impacted me, inspiring a dramatic career shift. I decided to abandon my AI studies and pursue game development. A month later, on my birthday, I participated in my first Game Jam, creating my very first game. Three months after that, I secured an internship with Tencent's game engine team, marking a significant milestone in my new career path. This journey...
